ScoutingThe Church of the Epiphany supports Scouting. We have chartered Boy Scout Troop 1257 and Venturing Crew 1257 as units of the Boy Scouts of America. These organizations are set in an environment based on Biblical principles where you and your friends can safely share new experiences together Troop 1257 for Boys Grades 6 - 12
Troop 1257 was chartered by The Church of the Epiphany and is a Judeo-Christian Troop set in an environment based on Biblical principals where you and your friends can safely share new experiences together. Scouting is for all boys at least 11 years of age, having completed the 5th grade or have earned the Cub Scout Arrow of Light Award. New Scouts benefit from a program whereby they can earn their First Class rank over the course of the first year. Experienced Scouts (2nd and 3rd year) assist first year Scouts and continue to learn and grow. Older boys can participate in High Adventure treks each year: backpacking, canoeing, white-water rafting, sailing the list goes on! The opportunities are endless! Meetings are Tuesday nights from 7:00-8:30 Church of the Epiphany. If you're looking for a place to belong and a place to be the best you can be Troop 1257 is the place for you. Every meeting is different. You just don't know whats around the corner, where you will go or what you have the chance to learn! Venturing provides positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Venturing provides the skills needed for young adults to make ethical choices, experience a fun program full of adventure and challenges, acquire leadership skills, and to take advantage of opportunities to advance their skills and knowledge in the areas of high adventure, sports, arts, hobbies, religious life, and Sea Scouting.
