Mission

To enhance worship through oral interpretation of the lectionary readings and lead in the Prayers of the People.

Duties and Services

A lector is trained in the reading of the Word and is appointed by the clergy to read lessons and initiate the Prayers of the People.

Volunteer Positions

Lead lector and weekly lectors to read the lessons and prayers.

Requirements

The lead lector prepares and maintains the schedule of readers for each Sunday and assures reading is consistent with the practices of Epiphany. Lectors rotate on a scheduled basis in reading the lessons and leading the prayers during the  worship service.
