KidsServe

Setting the stage for service to others

KidsServe is an after school, mission-based program open to all children in kindergarten through 5th grade. Our purpose is to involve young children in hands-on local outreach through monthly service projects. Our Bible verse theme is "serve one another in love" (Galatians 5:13).

We support others in need through existing ministries at Epiphany as well as serving those in the larger community.

KidsServe Goals:

• Gain awareness of the needs of others and our ability to meet those needs
• Learn how God can use each of us to make a difference in the lives of others
• Encourage children to give of their time and talent in service to others
• Involve others in our ministry by creating awareness of our supply drives as well as volunteer needs

Monthly Meetings

KidsServe meets one Wednesday of each month from 4:00-5:30 pm in the Great Hall.

Each meeting includes:	Opening Activities and Game
	Lesson
	Service Project
	Snack

Some of our projects have included:

• Created Easter baskets for needy children
• Prepared healthy snack kits for kids living in motels
• Sang Christmas carols at the Hanley Family Shelter
• Made winter survival bags for area homeless
• Hosted a walk-a-thon to benefit WFCM
• Prepared food for shelter residents
• Sponsored clothing and bedding drives to aid local families
• Assembled activity bags for children visiting FACETS offices
• Made weekend meal kits for a school food pantry

• Volunteering to help with the service project, games & snack at a monthly meeting
• Donating needed supplies for service projects
• Letting your friends and neighbors know about KidsServe
