Christmas in April

Mission Statement

The Christmas in April ministry supports the local community by sponsoring the annual Christmas in April program and providing an opportunity for members of the Church of the Epiphany to share their talents in fellowship with each other to assist families within the local community.  This event always occurs on the last Saturday in April.

Service Performed

Provide a work crew of skilled and unskilled craftsmen and painters to refurbish and clean up the home of an assigned homeowner in the community who needs assistance.

Volunteer Needs

Designated House Captain (12-16 hours advance planning and coordination meetings)

Assistants for planning and supply procurement and pickup (8-12 hours advance planning)

30-40 volunteers with the following talents to work for 8 hours on the designated day:

  • cleaners
  • painters
  • carpenters
  • plumbers
  • food service
  • clean-up
  • gardeners
  • electricians
  • masons
  • set-up
  • trash hauling
