The Journey

A ministry for girls ages Kindergarten to 6th grade.

"and there will be a highway, and it will be called The Way of Holiness."   Isaiah 35:8

Little Women provides a place for girls ages Kindergarten to 6th grade in our church and community to not only experience the joy of friendships and service, but also an avenue for them to begin to understand who God is, what the Bible says and why it's relative to them today!

Little Women is a place for them to grow into their own understanding and relationship with Jesus Christ as their Savior ... not in trite words flipped out when needed, but a tangible one-on-one with Him. They learn what to do with feelings of fear, anger, rebellion and self-centeredness.

Little Women is a place where girls are re-affirmed that they are important, they are wonderful and beautiful creations of The Creator of all that is - and that He loves them beyond measure.

Little Women is a place to learn that regardless what happens in their life - God is faithful - and they are never alone.

Little Women Interns for Girls 7th through 12th Grades

A ministry of service for Little Women.

LIttle Women Interns The role of Intern in the Little Women program is invaluable - it is more often than not a role of quiet, unseen servitude. The primary goal of the Intern is to "be available" to the girls in the program and to the leadership and volunteers. It is a serious commitment.

The Intern represents "Jesus fleshed out" - the Intern's actions and words are to be tangible evidence of what scripture teaches us. Jesus said, "I have come to serve you" - this is the mark of the Intern. To serve.

The Intern walks through the doors each week to help, to guide, to teach and to demonstrate to the girls in the program Jesus' unconditional love for them. It is a position of sacrifice. As one who has passed through the Little Women program, the Intern is in a very powerful place to witness to others through her actions. By being prepared in spirit, listening when it's time to listen, demonstrating a desire to learn and the capacity to laugh (sometimes at oneself!), patiently coming along-side those younger than herself to study scripture ... the Intern begins to disciple, and to disciple others is what Jesus told us to do.

The Little Women Intern Ministry is growing and extended it role this year at Epiphany. We are forming bridges with the Hot Meals program to cook once a month and looking forward to helping with the Hypothermia ministry in the winter. The girls are excited about learning of new opportunities to serve, such as raking leaves for those who are not physically able to do so. We will continue to seek God's guidance in our lives and follow the path He lays before us with a joyous serving heart.
